Jacob Stein, Supervisee in Social Work, is a recent Graduate of Catholic University. He  currently works full time for Arlington County Public Schools. As a school social worker, Jacob works as part of a multi-disciplinary team in order to support students both inside and outside of school. Jacob has an active part in the special education process, advocating for students and determining eligibility for Individualized Education Plans(IEP). In addition to working with clients in counseling, Jacob also collaborates with parents to improve outcomes by connecting families with community resources. Over his career, Jacob has had a wide variety of experiences ranging from touring teenagers from France across the West Coast to working with high schoolers and elementary schoolers in the NOVA area. Jacob’s approach incorporates CBT and play therapy and motivational interviewing. Outside of the office, Jacob enjoys rock climbing, a good night of video games, and hanging out with his friends.
